TWO SCOOPS OF NEW by HARVEY GRIFFIN

For awhile I was writing lyrics for some songwriters in Hollywood.  Their demo tapes were so godawful BAD, and my ego is so godawful BIG that I finally told them: "Hell, I can make better demos!  And I'm not a musician!!"

This boast resulted in a three year sabbatical from writing novels.

The best recordings from this three year diversion, I collected together, and paid a little over $1000 to have 1000 CD copies manufactured.  I've still got about half of them, the other half I sent out to radio stations, music magazines, and record companies. 

I didn't get a record deal.  I'm just a studio artist, with no live act.  Seems you need a live act or a hit that is already on the airwaves to be considered by a record company these days. 

I did get some airplay from 4 college radio stations and 1 internet radio station.  That I know about. 

Usually, if I hunt for TWO SCOOPS OF NEW on the Internet, I can find several copies of it for sale--copies that found their way from record companies to used music stores to Internet retailers.
